It is how to manage yourself and others amongst you, how not to be biased and how to understand others' emotions. Youth will learn helpful tactics in how to be the best leader that they can be. Not only is this conference about leadership but it also helps youth to understand the importance of good mental health and how to be the best you. This conference will leave you inspired and ready to make a difference!
30 Hour Famine
March 31, 2018
30 Hour Famine is one of the many fundraising initiatives that the council is involved in during the year. Every year, World Vision runs this event to raise awareness about world hunger and works towards erasing it altogether. The event is designed to put people in a position where they can relate to those less fortunate than us. During the 30 hours, we have 2 meetings to check in on participants and to take part in fun games. We then break our fast by eating as a group after the 30 hours are complete. The council collects donations (raised by our members, from family friends etc.) and all funds go directly to World Vision to support ending world hunger.
